Smt. Padmalakshmi Sriram is a professional Bharatanatyam Classical Dancer from South India. Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance form that originated in the temples of Tamilnadu, India, is known for its grace, purity, tenderness, and sculpturesque poses. Lord Shiva is considered the God of this dance form. Today, it is one of the most popular and widely performed dance styles and is practiced by male and female dancers all over the world.
Smt. Padmalakshmi Sriram is a performer, choreographer and teacher. She has performed for various festivals and organizations in India and since she moved to Brisbane in July 2013 she has performed in several events organized by local councils and communities and prestigious stages including Queensland Multicultural Center, Brisbane City Hall and Selva Vinayagar Temple to name a few. She has been teaching dance for more than 15 years with a lot of dedication imparting our values and culture on the kids and runs a dance school at three different locations in Brisbane.
